Program Overview 

Go from behind the wheel to under the hood with a variety of maintenance and transportation programs at McFatter Technical College. 

Students will be trained to repair damaged vehicle bodies, learn the use of parts and repair manuals, learn flat-rate information systems and get their hands on different power tools to make our vehicles look their best and operate efficiently.

Program Offers

  • Automotive Collision Technology Technician - Instruction and training includes the use of parts and repair manuals, price lists, flat-rate manuals, computerized systems for estimating and pricing to customers; recordkeeping; shop safety, and housekeeping. Throughout the course of the program, students will receive comprehensive instruction in the five (5) areas of specialization recognized by the Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for professional technician certification. Students are encouraged to participate in the ASE Certification testing program during their training.
  • Automotive Service Technology - Training includes the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, computerized automotive repair data systems, specialized test equipment, and hand & power tools.  Instruction aligns with the areas recognized by the Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for professional technician certification.  The program’s nine courses are:  Automotive Assistor, Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance. Students are encouraged to participate in the ASE Certification testing program during their training.
